Our house is over 100 years old. It was built by the Bank of Ireland for their manager and that is where he lived while working for the bank. It is a Victorian style building and has many features typical of a well to do house of the time including very high ceilings, decorative ceiling mouldings and original tiled flooring (in the hall). Of course over the years it has been upgraded and converted into a guest house complete with all modern comforts you would expect. Linden Hall is a guesthouse located in the centre of Westport, less than a 5-minute walk from Westport Train and Bus Station. It offers rooms with TVs, free Wi-Fi and free parking. All rooms at Linden Hall have hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast is provided. Matt Molloys and The Porter House are both within a 5-minute walk and have live traditional Irish music every night. There are many excellent restaurants in Westport, most serving seafood. Staff can advise and make dinner reservations for guests. Staff can provide walking maps for local attractions including Westport House, Achill Island and Croagh Patrick. Westport has several leisure centres with indoor pools, hot tubs and fitness suites. There is also a cinema in the town centre.The start of the Great Western Greenway for hiking and cycling is located directly across the street from Linden Hall. Bike hire is also available there. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Late check-in can be arranged by contacting the property in advance of your arrival.
